i am badly bruised fellas .... not a good feeling. My ass hurts and no not from that but from a 5 foot fall on solid ice while boarding yesterday. The great wooden wall got the best of me. Its all good though its New Year eve and tonite is party time. Happy New Year's to all.
This day just dragged on forever. The roads were crazy so Alison didnt go to work. I felt drained all day so I got no work done today. I hope 2row will be much better.
Yes, had the first real run of the session. Hit up the terrain park and got it it. Got some 180's off, feel pretty good bout that. Chris you will love this, there is a 2 foot wooden wall on one of jumps, crazy. I cleared that shit by a a foot...i kid u not, i had so much speed. Awesome. Can't wait for the next trip....somebody needs to come with me.
So we just got back from snowboarding at Mt. Creek in Vernon, NJ. Our bodies are completely wrecked. This was a great first run for the season. Alison tore up the trails on her new snowboard. The slopes were slight icy but it was straight for the first half of the day. I worked on my spins to get ready for the terrain park. It was open today but the trail from Vernon to South side was closed due to lack of snow. We were going to over to South side because of the terrain park but we would have had to take a shuttle over there or drive to that side of the mountain by car. Some people that we talked to said that conditions were too icy over there. I heading back on Wednesday for some personal training. My goal simple 180's. If anyone boards and lives around here hit me up. Looking for some fellow riders to go with.
So I was putting up my max bench today and had a mishap. Finally putting up 225 and was on my third rep and the my grip gave out particularly my thumbs and the bar came crashing down on my chest. Luckily I had a spotter who quickly saved my life. Just kidding it didn't really hurt as much as it sounds, just sprained my wrist a little bit. Either way I am just stoked I got a new max.
I have been trying to get this ping thing working and having major issues. I installed everything right but still cant get it to work right. I think I was missing te custom url. Upon entering that into my ping.fm account it seems that I am updated. Lets try it again.
So I styles most of the home page. I just going to have my blog on the base page with new picture galleries on the right. I am planning to have a little video preview section on the home page to in a slider window just showing the images to the videos. I want this so that I can post new snowboard videos soon. Keep you guys posted. Got to set up a twitter page too...lol
So I just got finished uploading all the photos into my gallery. I am using a new uploader so I am pretty stoked that everything worked out good. The only issue that I was having is that I get a small error at the end of the upload. I dont think is affects anythng so I ignore it. I still have to style the galleries but I will get to that soon.
So Saturday is the big day. I cant wait. I still have to tune my board but just waiting for some tools I need. I bought an edge tuner to obvisously take care of my edges. I usually go to Ski Barn to get this done but I think I am going to try and handle this my self. I also got a diamond stone and a wax scraper Its going to be the first time tuning my board myself so I am pretty excited. Alison just got a new board so she will be breaking that in on her first runs. So stoked. Not only that but I have to get my camera ready. I will be dfoing that today. I have a helmet cam that I cantr wait to get some really nice shots. I bought new boots which are great, they are much lightewr than m,y old boots and should allow me to fly high. I plan to brak them in today by wearing them throught the house. I will keep you guys posted on how the years progresses and will be putting up photos and videos theought the season.
